Cheezit Timeline was born from frustrating technical issues I had during Reframing the Argument (June 2025, University of Notre Dame).
The Videographic Dissection exercise asked participants to analyze their material through editing timelines. Just as I began working with mine my computer shut down. So, I built the timeline physically, on my Airbnb table.
Huge thanks to the workshop organizers (Ariel Avissar, Barbara Zecchi, Colleen Laird, Matthew Payne) and to all the participants for supporting me through late nights and technical misadventures.
Shot on iPhone 13 by Quan Zhang, performed by me, edited on iMovie (for iPad!)

Benedetta Andreasi is a graduate student in Film and Media Studies. Her videographic work and studies engage with the production and use of media space, focusing on how images of migration are constructed, circulated, and received in postmedia contexts. She is interested in practice-based research, and in how moving images can interact – through their particular subjectivities – with displaced political subjects.
